Dr. Hashemian has a decades-long passion for helping people restore healthy, beautiful smiles. He received an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville in 1990. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Florida in 1994, followed by a medical degree at the UF College of Medicine in 1997. Dr. Hashemian completed a general surgery internship and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the UF Shands Hospital in Gainesville. During the six-year residency program, he received broad training in different aspects of medicine and oral surgery, including impacted canine and wisdom teeth removal, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, dental implants, facial aesthetic surgery, benign and malignant pathology of the head and neck, and craniofacial surgery. After graduating in 2000, Dr. Hashemian founded his private practice and expanded to four locations in Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, and Pinellas counties. He attends numerous educational meetings and courses nationwide to stay apprised of the latest cutting-edge techniques. Dr. Hashemian is highly skilled in dental implants, full arch teeth-in-a-day treatment, zygomatic and pterygoid implants, soft and hard tissue grafting, reconstructive and orthognathic surgeries, facial plastic surgeries, office-based IV sedation, and general anesthesia. He is affiliated with six local hospitals and provides hospital-based treatment for facial trauma and other complex procedures.
